Expression of Interest (EoI) For The Construction of Waaheen Shopping Centre

BACKGROUND

Waaheen Market is located in the downtown of Hargeisa city, the capital of the republic of Somaliland. On April 1st, 2022, a huge raging fire engulfed the entire Waaheen Shopping Market. The fire severely damaged the infrastructure and thus disrupted processes critical to the livelihoods of the community and market disruptions with an acute shortage of essential items.

The Somaliland National Tender Board Invites qualified bidders and contractors to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) for the construction of Waaheen Shopping Centre which is a government owned business centre.

SCOPE OF WORK

The main scope of work is construction of large shopping centre which includes associated works like civil, structural, architectural, interior, landscaping, fire protection, HVAC, mechanical, electrical & plumbing.

The successful Contractor will be expected to provide all tools, labour, and equipment necessary to perform the required construction works.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Interested companies meeting should respond to this EoI with the following requirements:

Letter of interest clearly indicating the project reference and detailed company profile
Registration documents.
Track record and experience of the firm in a similar assignment(s)including a list of major clients served and other relevant information.
Qualification and experience of relevant professionals and technical personnel currently maintained.
Details of equipment and tools owned by the company relevant to execution of the construction.
Company’s financial performance documents and Audited books of Accounts for the last 3 years.

The Somaliland National Tender Board invites interested construction contractor (s) capable of realizing this project in ways that combine quality and project timeline adherence to submit EoI along with the required documents not later than July 15, 2022, at 5:00 PM East African Time.

How to apply

Submissions can be made either in email (for international bidders) or in hard copy (for local bidders).

Hard Copy Submission

Bidders MUST provide (2) sealed copies of the EOI and it MUST be labelled on the envelope with EOI for Construction of Waaheen Shopping Center, Hargeisa, Somaliland and must be submitted before 05:00 PM (EAT) on July 15, 2022, at Somaliland National Tender Board Office (NTB), Road No. 1, Hargeisa, Somaliland.

Electronic Submission

The electronic soft copies shall be emailed as one file in PDF format to submit.ntb@sldgov.org, and copied to procurement@waaheenmtc.com.

NOTE

Any EOI received after the deadline will be deemed non-responsive and will not be considered for evaluation.

Additional details, construction drawings and specifications shall be provided in the tender document to be issued subsequent to this EOI to the shortlisted companies.
