Tender for Provision of Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) for Standards Services in accordance with the provisions of the Somali Standards and Quality Control Act

The Somali Bureau of Standards (SOBS) invites sealed technical and financial proposals from all eligible companies to provide pre-export verification of conformity with standards for a period of five years. Conformity verification shall be conducted on the basis of Somali standards or specifications approved by the Somali Bureau of Standards for the advancement of Somalia’s economic growth,

market access, public safety, environmental protection and business sustainability.

How to apply

Interested qualified companies can obtain further information from the tender documents at the

Procurement Office, Somali Bureau of Standards SOBS, Airport Road, Wadajir District, Mogadishu, Somalia during normal business hours (between 08:00 and 16:00 hours)

A full set of tender documents can be obtained by interested companies from the Somali Bureau of Standard Procurement Office free of charge or an electronic copy can be requested at Procurement@sobs.gov.so. International bids must be accompanied by a bid security of US$50,000 in the form of a bank guarantee from a reputable bank.

The Somali Bureau of Standards would like to request all interested parties to submit their abstract to the given email before the deadline for their bids to be successful.

Completed bid documents shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes, marked with the bid number and deposited in the tender Box provided at SOBS Office, Airport Road, Wadajir, Mogadishu Somalia or sent a password protected version of the tender documents to be submitted as two separately encrypted files (technical and financial proposals) and mailed to: E-mail address: procurement@sobs.gov.so to be received no later than (15/03/2023: 12:00hrs Mogadishu time). Passwords for the encrypted files shall be sent no more than two hours before the Bid opening date.

Tender documents will then be opened immediately during the opening ceremony in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the opening at the SOBS office, Airport Road, Wadajir District, Mogadishu Somalia. Bids delivered outside the required time will not be accepted.
