1. Description of the organization and its activities

Action for Social and Economic Progress (ASEP) is a Somali NGO (Registration No: 0304-A/2017) active in Somalia for over 20 years. The organiztion’s main sectors of intervention are WASH, livelihood, peace & governance in Jubaland and Gedo region, where only a few NGOs are present. Since 2012, ASEP is implementing several humanitarian interventions funded by the Somali Humanitarian Fund in Baardheere. Furthermore, ASEP works with other international organizations such as the German Federal Government, Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), and donor as CHF, TIS-USAID, IOM, and USIP. ASEP has offices in Kenya and Somalia.

1. Information about the project

Action for Social and Economic Progress (ASEP) has been implementing a project titled “Provide life-saving WASH services to the most vulnerable drought-affected/displaced communities including IDPs to prevent loss of lives and drought-induced displacement in the Baardheere district, of Gedo region, Somalia”, which is funded by the Somali Humanitarian Fund (SHF).

The project aims to meet the immediate lifesaving needs as well as provide sustainable WASH services and facilities to communities in Baardheere district, Gedo region Somalia. It strives to improve access to lifesaving and sustained access to water, sanitation, and hygiene drought affected/displaced IDPs, Host and rural communities in Bardhere districts of Gedo region, Somalia.

1. The objective of the Call for Tender

In accordance with the overall targets of the above-mentioned project, ASEP is inviting Contractors to submit offers for the construction of one 540 m3 Berked in Geriley village, Baardheere district, Gedo region of Somalia by 27th March 2023.

The technical specifications of the works required for the execution of the aforementioned activity is included in Annex 1 (Bill of Quantities) of this Call for Tenders.
