Consulting firms for setting up QuickBooks and training partner personnel

Background

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a German federal enterprise offering services in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international educational work. The company operates in 120 countries worldwide and is headquartered in Bonn and Eschborn, Germany. GIZ has been operating in Somalia and Somaliland since 2015, in various sectors. GIZ projects and programs are distributed across the regions in the country including the federal level (Mogadishu), and the member states (Jubaland, South West, Hirshabelle, Puntland) and Somaliland, and are managed from GIZ’s office in Nairobi, Kenya.

As part of project implementation and to strengthen delivery capacity on the ground, GIZ provides financial contributions through grants, financing agreements and local subsidies to partners and implementing institutions who are expected to set up automated accounting systems. The setting up and operation of these systems provides the opportunity to improve financial management capacity of the partners. This software assisted accounting system will assist our partner institutions to conduct their financial transactions in an easy and professional manner by enabling them to manage their accounting needs and making it possible for third parties to obtain an overview of business transactions.

Call for Bids

GIZ is therefore seeking a two consulting firms who are capable in installing QuickBooks and train partner personnel of various institutions in Somalia and Somaliland.

The contractors are responsible for providing the following services:

• Procure QuickBooks Online on behalf of the end user
• Install and customize QuickBooks appropriately for institutions’ use
• Train and provide technical guidance to partners’ finance staff as means to provide

hands-on understanding

Arrange virtual technical support and backstopping for any troubleshooting
