Business Development and Marketing Manager – Garoowe, Somalia
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING MANAGER
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development and Marketing Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Business development, marketing, communications, or a related field. The ideal candidate will possess excellent creativity and knowledge in business, a strong foundation in marketing principles, strategies, and be able to achieve business growth for Tawakal Express.
This role requires an individual who has a deep understanding of the Money Business industry, including products, services, regulations, stays updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the financial sector.
This also focuses on driving the company’s growth and expanding its market presence through strategic partnerships, new market entry, product development, and customer acquisition strategies. This executive position involves a blend of strategic planning, marketing, sales, and partnership management to ensure the company’s offerings meet evolving market demands and capitalize on new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements strategic growth plans aligned with company objectives.
- Conducts market research to inform strategic decisions based on industry trends and customer needs.
- Identifies and manages partnerships with banks, financial institutions, and technology providers to expand offerings.
- Oversees partner relationships for mutual benefit and market expansion.
- Develops new clients, finds new potential services to offer, and helps the company expand to new markets.
- Develops marketing and development strategy and budget for the entire organization.
- Defines marketing positioning for focusing new products to create marketing materials for various segments
- Oversees and approves implementation of marketing strategy and budget through the coordination of the outsourced marketing service providers if needed.
- Consolidates and repackages business marketing and development thought leadership content for different channels i.e events, web, emails and videos, social medial platforms etc.
- Creates internal brand communication (content) with input from affected departments.
- Develops company product, profile design, content and brand communication standards and policies.
- Continuously identifies new markets and products.
- Oversees client’s events and seminars as required.
- Oversees and approves projects /campaigns from the beginning to end ensuring they meet the target objectives.
- Reports campaign results, explaining variances and making recommendations for both integrated and digital campaigns.

Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborates with all departments to keep track of effectiveness of the developments and marketing campaigns.
- Develops relationships with partner companies.
Ideal Experience & Education
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field. A master’s degree or a specialized certification in marketing and development is recommended.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Experience in budget planning, allocation, and tracking for optimal resource utilization and return on investment (ROI).
The candidate should be open to travel for work around the world.
