Job description

Background

Adam Smith International (ASI) is seeking a roster of national experts in Somalia across diverse technical areas to strengthen our support for key institutions in the security, governance and justice sectors.

Role

Terms of Reference will be finalised based on programme need and as opportunities arise, suitable roster experts will be considered for positions. The assignments will be based fully in either Mogadishu, Baidoa or Kismayo, Somalia.

Job requirements

We welcome applications that can demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:

•  University degree or equivalent academic qualification in a relevant, directly related discipline (e.g. political science, development, governance, economics, public administration etc).
•  At least 5 years of professional experience in one of the following key areas:
  •  Human Resources; eWlLYgl Dgn9pd
  •  Budget and Finance;
  •  Public Administration and Planning;
  •  ICT
  •  Legal Reform/Legal Drafting
•  At least one assignment of 3 years minimum in the Horn of Africa (experience with FGS / FMS actors in Somalia would be an asset).
•  Fluency in English and Somali is required.
