Position: General Manager
Location: Garowe

Alpha Print is looking for an experienced General Manager to steer this amazing business to further heights of success. The GM will lead by example, promoting a positive team environment through Jet Alpha Core Values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Increases management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational opportunities.

2. Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.

3. Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.

4. Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff.

5. Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.

6. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

7. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state- of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

8. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


1. Making sure that print machinery is used effectively.

2. Making sure that work is finished by agreed deadlines and to budget.

3. Checking the quality of the finished work

4. Manages the growth and success of the team.

5. Coordinates activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements

6. Responsible for the production, procurement, and planning of daily operations

7. Communicates with all relevant employees to ensure delivery times are met.

8. Plans, schedules, and reviews workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis.

9. Manages the stock control, and checks that inventory records are accurate

10. Ensures the production team has enough time to manufacture and deliver products based on the client’s request

11. Creates a detailed schedule based on strict deadlines

12. Communicates any changes in the order or delivery date to relevant parties

13. Monitors production standards

14. Makes sure the working environment maintains access to quality equipment

15. Purchases materials and services required for production

16. Follows up on interruptions to the order

17. Organizes, plans, and implements inventory activity

18. Confirms that health and safety regulations are followed

19. Provides guidance to employees

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1. Ability to work independently & flexible, non-standard hours

2. Strong ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at once

3. Knowledge of contracting and negotiating and structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.

4. Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills

5. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

6. Self-motivated and independent problem-solving ability

7. Good with figures and budgets 8. Ability to work with frequent changes in procedures, directions, and outcomes.

9. Good at working under pressure and to deadlines.

Education and Work Experience:

1. MUST have relevant bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management with 3+ years’ experience in similar role.

2. Printing companies experience is required and a combination of training, education and experience equivalent to the standards listed above that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

3. Experience in customer relationship management.

4. Proven experience developing, negotiating, finalizing, and implementing contracts.
