- JOB SUMMARY:
- Horyaal Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team. As a pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring safe, medication management, patient counseling and effective medication use, and promoting optimal health outcomes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
- AREA OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Medication Dispensing and Counseling:
- Dispense medications and pharmaceutical products with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and documentation.
- Provide patient-centered medication counseling, offering clear and concise instructions on medication administration, potential side effects, and adherence strategies.
- Clinical Services and Patient Care:
- Conduct medication therapy reviews and clinical assessments to evaluate the appropriateness, safety, and efficacy of medication regimens.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy outcomes, resolve drug therapy problems, and enhance patient care.
- Medication Safety and Quality Assurance:
- Implement medication safety protocols and quality assurance measures to minimize medication errors, adverse drug events, and medication-related risks.
- Perform medication reconciliation processes to ensure accurate medication histories and seamless transitions of care for patients.
- Pharmacy Operations and Management:
- Oversee pharmacy operations, including inventory management, procurement, and storage of pharmaceutical products, to maintain adequate supply levels and meet patient needs.
- Manage pharmacy workflow and prioritize tasks efficiently to optimize productivity, minimize wait times, and enhance service delivery.
- Education and Customer Engagement:
- Educate patients, and healthcare professionals on medication-related topics, disease management strategies, and preventive health measures.
- Proactively engage with customers to understand their healthcare needs and preferences.
- Product Knowledge and Education:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical products, including indications, dosages, contraindications, and potential side effects.
- Educate customers on the features, benefits, and proper usage of medications.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including proper labeling, handling, and storage of pharmaceutical products.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to sales transactions, cash handling, and documentation to maintain accuracy, integrity, and accountability
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
- Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in pharmacotherapy, medication management, and pharmaceutical care principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills, with the ability to engage with diverse patient populations and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and technology applications for medication management and clinical documentation.
