INTERNATIONAL WARS AND DISASTERS VICTIMS’ PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (IRVD) is a non -governmental organization established by a group of volunteers in Syria during the crisis in 2012 and registered in the USA, Sweden, and turkey.

IRVD is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.

Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter &Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.

IRVD also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance

Job Description

IRVD is seeking a Human Resource Coordinator to lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • The HR Coordinator is responsible for staff development and will manage all staff-related activities. He will be responsible for the following:
  • The Human Resources department will serve employees and management by dealing with day-to-day questions and helping to solve work-related problems;
  • Assist in communicating IRVD policies and procedures and promoting understanding within the association;
  • Follow up on recruitment for open positions and perform the entire life cycle of recruitment activities, including sourcing and screening applicants, maintaining recruitment systems, drafting letters of offer, providing follow-up with candidates, and reporting on recruitment statistics.
  • Drafting and updating job descriptions. assistance with job classification;
  • Leading the internal activities of the staff; Answer staff questions and providing support to the project manager;
  • Conduct background checks on potential employees, including follow-up with references provided;
  • Maintain employee records.
  • Responsible for new hiring, termination and change status forms with payroll. Act as a liaison to employees to help resolve benefit-related issues related to benefit deductions and payment;
  • Ensure that employees comply with the Human Resources Manual

Ability to:

  • Ability to work in a stressful setting and adapt quickly to changing environments
  • Ability to conduct work in a professional and mature manner
  • Ability to mentoring and training; experience in supervising staff desirable

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree in Business Administration.
  • At least two years of experience in the field, preferably in a relief environment.
  • Experience working with relief and rehabilitation NGOs or an agency in the humanitarian aid field.
  • Advanced planning, evaluation and analysis skills.

Languages:

  • Arabic and English are mandatory (oral and written)
