Multimedia Officer – Garowe, Puntland, Somalia

Key responsibilities of the job include:

• Lead projects related to multimedia technologies development, which may include complex visualization and imaging projects (e.g., advanced three-dimensional design and CAD, geographical information systems, volume visualization, virtual reality), entire online environments (e.g., webmaster), complete multimedia application design and implementation, etc.
• Provide the strategic multimedia technology direction for an entire unit/department/division
• Meeting and liaising with program team to discuss briefs, requirements and project progress and making technical recommendations
• Creating multimedia designs, animation, recording viedeos taking photos and recording audio programs.
• Developing and using skills and expertise in appropriate design packages such as Photoshop, In Design and After Effects as well as video editing programs.
• Keeping up-to-date with technological and software developments
• Creating contents for social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Multimedia, Graphic Design, IT, Software engineering, Public Relations, E-Marketing or related fields with 1 year experience.
• Or, Diploma/Advance certificate in above courses with 3 years of working experience as designer, photographer, and videographer with local multimedia enterprises, printing houses or with international and local NGOs
• Proficient in designing, and video/photo editing application like adobe package.

 Key Required Skills:

• The candidate must be creative and have a good knowledge in graphic design, video recording and photography with good eye for design, layout and detail.
• The candidate must have good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. This is because you will need to communicate ideas to clients and other staff, regularly.
• The candidate must be creative and have a good understanding of technical activities and should be competent in using relevant software applications.
• The candidate will be working with other teams and creative. This requires excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise to reach common goals.
• The candidate must have time management skills and should be able to meet with deadlines.
• The candidate should have analytical skills and problem-solving skills
