INTERNATIONAL WARS AND DISASTERS VICTIMS’ PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (IRVD) is a non -governmental organization established by a group of volunteers in Syria during the crisis in 2012 and registered in the USA, Sweden, and turkey.
IRVD is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.
Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter &Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.
IRVD also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance
Job Description
IRVDis seeking a Project manager to build and strengthen strategic programme delivery and partnerships at the local level. The PM will be responsible for maintaining effective project work and location management.
Also, provide management support to implement all project components and ensure effective and successful delivery of project milestones and results, ensuring an appropriate project management framework in line with IRVD guidelines. Review the short- and long-range plans for delivery of project services, and guide the IRVD staff
Responsibilities:
Program and representation:
- Ensures effective planning, implementation as well as monitoring and evaluation of the project
- Ensure participation of IRVD in all coordination meetings and relevant Working Groups.
- Maintain strong relations with local authorities, other NGOs, UN agencies, and other regional actors with the support of the coordination team also to identify new fundraising opportunities and partnerships.
- Follow up on project implementation, including revision of targets against achievements and identifying gaps in response to define needed adjustments in the implementation.
- Enhances quality of implementation by training projects’ staff
Management and Program Quality:
- Planning, organising, directing and controlling all activities and services and supervising the performance of employees.
- Preparing the centre’s work procedures manual and updating it from time to time.
- Preparing and following up on providing the centre’s devices, equipment, supplies and other needs.
- Distribution of workforce to cover the daily work of the department.
- Preparing a continuous education and training program to rehabilitate the department’s employees.
- Evaluating the performance of the department’s employees from various professions and making the necessary recommendations.
Supervision:
- Supervising implementing the Center’s quality and public safety programs.
- Manages all the logistical procedures, ensuring IRVDs and donor requirements are met and proper documentation is collected and maintained.
- Supervising employees to ensure a comfortable working atmosphere
- Supervising the centre’s records and ensuring that they are archived and preserved according to the system approved by the Assembly.
Monitoring, evaluation and reporting:
- Delivers timely quality reporting on project activities, including findings regarding the impact on individuals and communities.
- Takes part in projects meetings called by donors and any relevant stakeholders, in close coordination and under the supervision of the Head of Mission
Ability to:
- Ability to work in a stressful setting and adapt quickly to changing environments
- Ability to conduct work in a professional and mature manner
- Ability to mentoring and training; experience in supervising staff desirable
- Ability to prioritise manage time effectively and work under pressure with deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications
- University degree in medicine, public health, or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of software life cycles.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in humanitarian assistance, including at least 3 years in health programmes.
- Excellent knowledge of the humanitarian and development sectors, experience and knowledge of humanitarian standards.
Languages:
- Arabic and English are mandatory (oral and written)
