Job Summary:

The Purchaser Officer is responsible for the final delivery and transfer of investment and financing products to the bank’s clients. This individual serves as the main point of contact for customers during the product handover process, ensuring a smooth and satisfactory experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with customers to hand over investment and financing products such as Goods & etc.
  • Provide detailed explanations and demonstrations of product features, terms, and usage to customers.
  • Collect any necessary documentation, signatures, or acknowledgements from customers during the handover process.
  • Address any questions or concerns raised by customers and escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all product handovers and client interactions.
  • Coordinate with internal banking teams (e.g. investments, etc.) to facilitate seamless product delivery.
  • Assist with onboarding new customers and introducing them to the bank’s product offerings.
  • Stay up to date on the bank’s evolving product portfolio and any changes that impact on the handover process.
  • Provide feedback to management on ways to improve the customer handover experience.
  • Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
  • Meeting with vendors and clients to negotiate the best contracts.
  • Liaising with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time.
  • Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely.
  • Updating all records of purchased products.
  • Assist in the procurement process by identifying potential vendors and assisting in the evaluation process
  • Collaborate with the sharia department to obtain necessary guidelines for investment processes and procedures.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Islamic Banking & Finance, Degree in Sharia or any other related field.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in product handover, customer service, and relationship management.
  • Knowledge of investment and financing products, as well as relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities to address customer queries and concerns.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with using various software and systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Adaptability to changes in the bank’s product portfolio and handover procedures.
  • Collaborative mindset to work closely with internal teams, such as investments and sharia departments.
  • Negotiation and contract management skills for vendor and client interactions.
  • Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and make informed recommendations.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, including vendor evaluation and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with sharia guidelines and principles related to investment and financing products.
