Background

The Ministry of Finance is seeking a dedicated and qualified individual to join our team as a Tax Collector. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with tax laws and enhancing revenue collection efforts within the region.

Position Overview

• Role: Tax Collectors
• Department: Revenue Department
• Reporting To: Director of Revenue Department.
• Purpose: Responsible for collecting various taxes, maintaining compliance with tax regulations, and assisting taxpayers with their inquiries.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect income tax, sales tax, property tax, and other applicable taxes.
• Maintain accurate records of tax payments and ensure timely processing.
• Conduct audits and investigations to detect tax evasion or fraud.
• Review tax returns and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Assist taxpayers in understanding their obligations and provide guidance.
• Collaborate with other government departments on tax collection.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and implement necessary adjustments.
• Prepare reports on tax collection activities, including revenue and compliance statistics.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in tax collection or administration.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications and tax-related software.
