Invitation To Bid (ITB) for Procurement of Indigenous poultry and feed (Pullets and cocks + feed) – Somaliland

World Vision Somaliland program is implementing integrated development activities which include; Agriculture, livelihood, Water and Sanitation, advocacy, and Resilience. World Vision Resilience and Livelihood sector started a project named (Area Rehabilitation Program (ARP) to Enhance resilience in the Odweyne community). The goal of the project is to

increase the resilience of vulnerable communities in Odweyne District in order to make them self-reliant through improved natural resource assets, resilience to shocks through CBDRR interventions, increase income and productive assets, and longer-term resilience and prevention of malnutrition for 8 target villages under Odweyne District.

Therefore, to tender for the supply of poultry, the conditions and technical requirements is stated in this invitation at Annex 1:

Important note:

Offers transmitted in any other manner than those indicated above will not be considered.

Your offer should clearly indicate:

• Unit price as per the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in Annex II.
• Offer Price should be net after deduction. Applicable Taxes must be clearly stipulated and separated from the base costs.
• Validity of the offer.
• Delivery time.

Information to bidders:

1. Currency of offer should preferably be in US Dollars, but in case local currency is offered, the comparison of offers will be based on the prevailing rate of exchange.
2. World Vision reserves the right to accept the whole or part of your offer.
3. World Vision Somaliland reserves the right to accept or reject any application (bid), and is not bound to give reasons for its decisions. Canvassing or giving false information will lead to automatic disqualification.

ANNEX 1: EVALUATION CRITERIA

1. Mandatory Requirements:

1. Provide a certified copy of a certificate of business registration.
2. Provide a certified copy of tax registration.
3. Provide information on ownership structure (Name of directors of the company / Owner)
4. Provide references from previous customers
5. The tender should be submitted at latest by 7 /2 / 2023 on 04:00 PM

Technical Requirements:

• The poultry should be local breeds within Somaliland
• The required pullets and cockerels should be healthy and productive with good body condition and no injuries or wounds and should be without any defects and not de-peaked.
• The age of Indigenous poultry pullets should be within 4-5 months.
• The age of Cockerel should be 8-10 months.
• The pullets and cockerels will be subjected to clinical inspection at the point of delivery by Veterinary officer/livestock project officer and those not fit clinically will be rejected.
• Upon the delivery of the poultry, the supplier should provide certificate of health inspection issued by the regional veterinary officer.
• The supplier is responsible for the transport; uploading/offloading of Poultry and should deliver at the identified distribution site of every target villages listed below.

1. Beerato – 15 Households (7 pullets + 1 cock
2. Xaaxi -15 Households (7 pullets + 1 cock)
3. Gatiitaley- 15 Households (7 pullets + 1 cock)
4. Galooley – 15 Households (7 pullets + 1 cock)
5. Qalocato – 15 Household (7 pullets + 1 cock)
6. Ceelsame – 15 Households (7 pullets + 1 cock)
7. Baarcad – 5 Household (7 pullets + 1 cock)
8. Laanmulaaxo – 5 Household (7 pullets + 1 cock
