Background
Horn Connect Broadcast Services is a media production and strategic communication agency based in Mogadishu, Somalia. Since its inception in 2009, Horn Connect has developed a good presence and footprint in every region of Somalia and employs equipped mobile teams for coverage and production in remote and urban locations.
We are hiring Direct Sales Representatives to create customer awareness of companies’ products and services. They are responsible for presenting Horn Connect’s products and services to potential customers and closing sales.
The DSR will be responsible for ensuring that all marketing activities are successful and meet the objectives set by management. The objective is to ensure that all marketing efforts add value to the business of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and yearly sales quotas
- Campaign at assigned territories to present company products to potential customers
- Assist marketing head in identifying viable marketing and pricing strategies
- Attend trade shows and other industry-related events
- Complete regular sales reports specifying the number of sales made
- Demonstrate product features to customers
- Present, promote and sell Horn Connect products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Perform needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
- Accelerate the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, the applicant should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, journalism or related field
- At least 3 years of proven work experience as a Sales Representative
- Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
- Prioritize time management and organizational skills
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
- God understanding of marketing techniques and principles as well as market research and statistical data analysis methods.
- Attention to detail
