| Description of the organization | Nomadic Assistance for Peace and Development (NAPAD) is an Eastern African indigenous non-profit organization that works with local communities and their organizations to ensure that vulnerable and poverty-stricken people in the Horn of Africa, particularly the pastoral and agro-pastoral communities, can enjoy peace, quality living conditions and sustainable development. This is done by amongst others supporting these communities to actively participate in and influence socio- economic and political processes that benefit them. NAPAD believes that peaceful coexistence among communities is a critical prerequisite for any sustainable development. NAPAD has been implementing WASH, Livelihood, Education and Peace building projects in Jubbaland, Galgadud, and Banadir states in Somalia over the last decade. In order to strengthen her operations and presence in Somalia, NAPAD plans to recruit a well experienced, dynamic, creative and competent project Manager to be based in Mogadishu.

| Main Role of the positions | The main roles of the Accountants include but limited to; general financial tracking of the project receipts and payments, bank reconciliations functions and producing monthly, quarterly and final project financial reports. | ||
| Other key Duties & Responsibilities: | o Prepare project monthly expenditure forecast | ||
| o Tracking of project expenditure and reports on budget vs actuals | |||
| o Preparing and reconciling the project accounts on monthly basis. | |||
| o Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports and ensuring that expenditures are incurred within the budget limits. | |||
| o Processing of payments and tracking of the project income and expenditure | |||
| o Ensuring that transactions are fully supported, approved, properly filed on timely basis | |||
| o Ensuring that payment requests are in line with the finance procedures and | |||
| that the procedures are used to guide the financial operations in the office. | |||
| o Help in the preparation of the audit schedules and to support the internal | |||
| and external audit process. | |||
| o Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations (i.e. taxes, deductions) and | |||
| other legal requirements such as PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, HELB, WHT etc. | |||
| o Maintaining an accurate register of the project inventory and fixed assets. | |||
| o Help in the Payroll preparation and statutory deductions processing | |||
| o Any other duty as required of the similar job. | |||
| o End of month project financial report by the 5th of every month. | |||
| Expected Outputs | o Updating the financial data on QuickBooks to facilitate monthly bank | ||
| reconciliations. | |||
| o Work closely with project staff and track and coordinate planned activities. | |||
| o | Monthly project input for payroll by 25th of each month and subsequent | ||||||||||
| payment of the payroll deductions before 5th of the following month. | |||||||||||
| o | Quarterly and final project financial reports by stipulated timelines. | ||||||||||
| o | First degree in accountancy qualification with a minimum of CPA II | ||||||||||
| Essential | o | Hands on experience in similar roles, Excellent excel skills, ability to use | |||||||||
| requirements: | QuickBooks, knowledge of budgeting process, financial reporting and audit | ||||||||||
| procedures. | |||||||||||
| Terms & | Contract period; | ||||||||||
| Conditions | Mogadishu (between 25 to 30 months), Dollo (between 6-10 months) and | ||||||||||
| Kismayo (between 10 to 12 months contract) all with possibility of renewal | |||||||||||
| (subject to availability of funds & satisfactory performance) | |||||||||||
