It has been implementing development projects in Somaliland since 2001. Multi-sectoral projects have been carried out in the Awdal, Marodijeh, Togdheer & Sanaag Regions for the past 20 years.

Description of the of the project and the bid

AA project is an integrated humanitarian assistance – in kind and in cash – and disaster preparedness and respond for populations affected cyclone and drought which effected community in Awdal region and Surviving the livelihoods of agro-pastoral in this Region to secure from them the harmful coping mechanisms reduced through unconditional food aid (in cash), water provision and the secured survival of the remaining animals and inclusive, comprehensive, multi-sectoral disaster management The project purpose also is to increase community capacity, lifesavings and rebuild the resilience to the communities Life in project target area where cyclone Sagar affected.

This bid reflects the construction of three communal Berkads in Odweyne district, Togdheer region. The communities are pastoralists with no water for years and years. To curb and minimize the problem of water needs, WHH is going to construct three Berkads in Dhoobo Wayne, Ceel Ceel Bilcinle and Cawaale villages under Odweyne district in Togdheer region.

Note: all the corresponding documents including BoQs, Designs and other essential information for the construction of the three Berkads are uploaded to our E-tender system and can be downloaded from there. Also, the required criteria for the has been explicitly shown in the bid dossiers.

Special attention

Quantities and contents of the listed assortment is subject to no alteration. Welthungerhilfe

reserves the right to divide the orders into lots and to award the lots into different suppliers.

However, Welthugerhilfe prefers to place the order with one suppler only. All the relevant information are indicated in the bid documents. Furthermore, all bidders are also required to meet the minimum tender requirements as shown in the bid dossiers. Welthungerhilfe will strictly check the these criterium and most notably the supplier who fits the bid requirements will be deemed as a winner.
