(1,000 HHs for riverine and 500 for rain fed farmers).

.BACKGROUND

Sustainable Development and Peace-building Initiatives (SYPD) is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan organization that was formally registered in Somalia on August, 2004. In addition to humanitarian aid and emergency relief, SYPD strives to promote peace in Somalia, neighboring countries and Africa through sustainable development programs that enable communities to have permanent access to basic human needs, and by addressing the root causes that drive conflict in the region. Since its inception SYPD has implemented over 100 projects in different regions of Somalia, reaching hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries from the most vulnerable communities.

SYPD with the support of AA/DKH is implementing a 30-month multi-sectoral and integrated humanitarian response in Beledweyne and Baidoa District. The project is designed to support climatic shocks that affected vulnerable communities in Somalia with the comprehensive agricultural support package that includes; land preparation, provision of quality seeds, construction/rehabilitation of agricultural infrastructures, and installation of water pump machine irrigation system.

ELIGIBILITY

Sustainable Development and Peace Building Initiatives (SYPD), invites local suppliers who have sound capacity to conduct the above subject to participate and submit their documents in reference to invitation bid (ITB)

1. Company Profile with clear physical address
2. Commercial license
3. Registrations both Federal and States (HIRSHABELE & SOUTH WEST)
4. Have valid Registration Certificate from the ministry of Agriculture- Hirshabelle / South-west.
5. Valid Tax Compliance Certificate both Federal and States (HIRSHABELE & SOUTH WEST)
6. Company Bank Statements for past 6 months.
7. Supplier should be ready to deliver seeds with quality confirmation certificate by recognized laboratory.
8. Supplier should have the capacity to deliver the seeds within a span 14 days.
9. Past Experience on agricultural Inputs and Seeds, undertakings of contracts with NGO/UN agencies, test Certificate or any other document for evidence
10. Completed Supplier Registration Form
11. Completed ‘Tenderers Relevant Experience Form’ & Evidence
12. Signed Annexes for Invitation Declaration, SYPD Purchasing Terms and Conditions and SYPD Supplier Code of Conduct
13. Duly completed the BoQs, the BoQs are in two Lots according to the sites:
    • Lot 1 A: 1000 farmer Household in Baledweyne
    • Lot 1 B: 500 farmer Household in Baidoa

Bidder can quote for one or both lots but after evaluation and ranking by lots, contract award for one or both measured based on the minimum qualification requirements.

All documents must be exclusively prepared in English language and signed by duly authorized person. Request for Invitation to Bid (ITB) should be submitted via email: procurement@sypd.org copy to abdullahi.aliyow@sypdsomalia.org and ahmet.husseyn@sypd.org, Due to the COVID-19 situation it is not allowed submission of hard documents to SYPD HQ and sub-offices.

The subject email should indicate the tender reference number mention in the Invitation Letter; Ref No: SYPD/ITB002BLW/BIO-23/082021.
