WADAAGSAN COMPANY BRIEF BACKGROUND

Wadaagsan Company LLC (WC), is the developer and the owner of Garacad Port, the first privately funded port facility in Somalia. Established in 2016, WCL is an indigenous Ports Development Company which represents a strong shareholder base with extensive expertise and capabilities in the construction and infrastructure development industry. The Company headquarter is situated at Iftin Plaza, Galkacyo, Puntland, Somalia.

The company is currently engaged in building modern port in the region to develop specialized marine services, logistical facilities and port operations skill and expertise. The official name of the ongoing project is“Garacad Fishing and Commercial Port Project” funded and implemented by Wadaagsan LLC on a BOOT based concession. Garacad Commercial and Fishing Port is projected to positively turn the economic tide for Puntland, Central Regions of Somalia and Eastern Ethiopia due to its excellent strategic location as a gateway for import/export services for the rich and various natural resources of the region. Our ultimate goal is to develop modern port infrastructure and transit corridor with quality, reliable, and sustainable strategy focusing on economic growth and job creation.

WADAAGSAN COMPANY LLC is hiring for qualified person who will engage the company on one year term employment with renewal.

The position is:  Generator operator.

The base will be:  Garacad office.

1. Generator operator position:

Key responsibilities: The generator operator will perform repair and other critical services on all generator sets.

The operator will be responsible generator works by using logical troubleshooting steps to identify the cause of generator failure or any other problem and determine the correct action by inspecting the failed parts.

Perform oil and changing service with spare fixing/installations operations, rig up tools of the generators equipment, maintain inventory, and work with persons in the company, report routine and emergency generator facility events.

Perform generator setup and maintenance, including installing spares, oils and etc.

Education and work experience:

A diploma in electric or mechanical engineering or equivalent with minimum 7 years qualifying experience in electric and mechanical works, heavy duty machinery works related is required. Other machinery plants experience is desired.
