Background

Youth Volunteers for Development and Environment Conservation (YOVENCO) was founded on 10th March 2001. It is a non-­‐governmental, non-­‐profit making and non-­‐political organization with headquarters in Berbera; sub-­‐offices in Hargeisa & Burao. YOVENCO has been helping the community in social livelihoods development, Inclusive Quality Education, Health improvement, Child protection, Youth empowerment as well as the conservation of the environment. From its inception, YOVENCO has been collaborating with the local authorities as well as communities in Somaliland. YOVENCO has vision that a society where every citizen enjoys access to better livelihood with dignified life, human rights and social justice promoted and climate change vulnerability reduced.

Services Needed and The Scope of The Work

Under the Undaunted: Educating Girls with Disabilities in Somaliland Project, YOVENCO is working to provide safe and protective learning environment for girls, particularly girls with disabilities. The project will construct a gender sensitive and disability friendly toilets in the target schools in Borama, Sheikh and Gabiley. This intervention is expected to provide more children, especially girls from the most disadvantaged communities a friendly access to schools.

Scope of Work: Construction of 20 disability friendly toilets with Ramps. The Contractor shall furnish all the necessary tools and labor to conduct the services. YOVENCO will supply any materials, equipment, or resources needed at the locations.

Application deadline. The deadline of submitting the tender document is 8^th October 2021. A sealed bid documents to be submitted to our office in Hargeisa, Burao and Berbera before

2.00pm of 8^th October 2021 or it can be sent by email to yovenco@gmail.com. Any documents received later than this date and time will not be accepted. The envelope or the email should indicate the Tender Reference title as mentioned above.

BID Documents will be available at YOVENCO offices in Burao, Berbera and Hargeisa from

8.00am to 2.00pm. Interested contractors are advised to get the detail instructions, Locations,

Terms and Conditions

The bidder must have valid License /registration.

The bidder must have technical capacity to execute the sought services (copies of recommendation letters, completion certificates and contracts are required).

The bidder must have at least 3 years’ experience.
