Full time position – School Accountant

Introduction:

Amaano School is looking to hire a successful candidate who has a  degree in finance, accounting, or related field. You will be reporting to the General Manager of the School.

School Accountant Responsibilities and Duties:

• Preparing the school’s annual budget and updating when needed
• Assisting in producing annual audit and liaising with all parties involved
• Building a robust accounting department which has proper internal control systems to ensure that the collections, billing, expenditure and reporting are all done in a manner that mitigates fraud
• Preparing income and expenditure report
• Producing monthly report for the management team
• Maintaining and overseeing all bank account including Zaad and eDahab
• Ensuring school financing policy is reviewed and the school meets all financial requirement
• Responsible handling cash including collections and disbursements, banking and security

School Accountant Skills and Qualification:

Bachelor degree in accounting with experience working in an established company that has an accounting department

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a profit organization

Understands accounting standards such IFRS, IAS

• Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skills.
• Knowledge about MS Office, QuickBooks, and excel
• Able to work in a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines
• Strong verbal and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated and strong analytical skills
• Attention to detail, prioritization skill and time management
• Quick learner with a positive attitude
