DARE 1 SALES & MARKETING MANAGER

Company and project Summary:

Dahabshiil Group, the fastest growing business group with interests in financial services, banking, telecommunications, real estate, and energy & power sectors among others.  The Djibouti Africa Regional Express 1(DARE1) submarine cable system connects Djibouti (Djibouti), Bosaso (Somalia), Mogadishu (Somalia) and Mombasa (Kenya). With a finalized route length of 4,854km, DARE1 cable system delivers up to 36 Tbps of capacity to East Africa. The DARE1 a subsidiary of Dahabshiil Group, under the leadership of the Managing Director plans to recruit DARE1 Sales & Marketing Manager, who will be in charge of marketing the company’s products in Somalia.

General Position Summary:

The Sales & Marketing Manager will be overall In charge of all the marketing and sales strategic activities by developing a comprehensive marketing strategy in line with DARE1 & Dahabshiil Group Corporate Vision and strategy for Business Clients.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Planning, promoting and improving Dare 1 image and putting the existing visibility infrastructure in effective use
2. Initiating, planning, and designing and implementing Company Level advertisement and promotional activities and working closely with local media

• Managing, promoting, and overseeing Digital and social media Marketing Strategy and Content Marketing

1. Holding public engagement meetings intended for branding, product awareness and corporate social responsibility. Maintaining excellent relationship with the community
2. Building Brand awareness and Positioning.
3. Designing and conducting quarterly market study and ensuring necessary actions are taken based on the analysis of the study

• Designing and implementing customer satisfaction gauging platform and feedback mechanisms and ensure that satisfaction index is consistently improved
• Assisting group entities in product development based on market and customer insights

1. Developing a comprehensive marketing strategy in line with Dare 1 & Dahabshiil Group Corporate Vision and strategy
2. Developing and implementing detailed annual marketing action plan and budgets
3. Creating and publishing marketing materials in line with the marketing plan

• Acting as Dare 1 PR in public gatherings such
• Designing and introducing customer loyalty programs and ensuring the benefit realization of the incentives

Reports Directly To: DARE1 Managing Director

Knowledge and Experience:

1. A Master/Bachelor’s degree in Sales, or Marketing and Management.
2. 6 years with progressive 3-4 years of experience in Sales & Marketing at Management Level

• Ability to close create leads follow leads and close sales cycle.

1. Proven Sales & Marketing campaign Experience.
2. Language proficiency in written and oral Somali, English and Arabic is required.
3. Excellent computer skills especially Word, Excel and Power Point.

• Excellent interpersonal, Communication and Public Speaking Skills.
• Ability to conduct press conferences and briefings.

1. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Environmental Conditions

This position is based in Mogadishu and is unaccompanied. Travel within Somalia is required to support all Somalia’s offices and group’s programs. This position is eligible for very competitive salary package and other benefits as per our Human Resource policy .The group team members represent the Dahabshiil Group and its’s subsidiaries both during and outside of work hours when deployed in a field posting or on a visit to a field posting.
