Job Position: Restaurant Store Keeper
Job Description REF : 18/MCP/KIA
Department: Kitchen & Administration
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Keep a record of sales and restock the store accordingly.
- Manage and train store staff.
- Plan promotional campaigns for new products or specials.
- Ensure that the store is kept clean and organized.
- Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders
- Track, document, and resolve any discrepancies on received orders
- Ensure accuracy of the facility’s inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns
- Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels
- Keep up-to-date records of receipts, records, and withdrawals from the stockroom
- Responsible for packing, pricing, labeling, and returning supplies
- Responsible for stock rotation and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
- Oversee the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and minor repairs
- Manage supplier relations and database as well as maintain high ethical relationships both internally and externally
- Create purchase orders and utilize purchasing card to perform low-value procurement activities
- Responsible for shipping cancelled or damaged items back to suppliers as appropriate.
- Ensure the quantity requested and the quantity issued always matches.
- Proper records of all stocks movements are achieved thereby ensuring reliable data is proved
- Stocks to be supplied in a timely fashion to the retail locations
- Ensure adequate Health & Safety and Food Storage principles are followed in line with QA program
- Store keeper will liaise and communicate with fellow coworkers, Chiefs and Kitchen Brigade, floor management
- Outside of the organization they will also deal with Customs, Airport Police and Cargo Agents.
- Minimize the level of Stock Shrinkage, and maintain accurate and detailed records of all stock movements both into and out of the warehouse
- Applies storekeeping procedures and methods in arranging space, conducting inventory, estimating needs and maintaining and preparing records and reports as directed.
- Check all stocks received into and going out of the stores to ensure accurate records are kept in securing the company’s assets
- Responsible for taking the necessary precautions actions to avoid bodily injuries and/or damages to company’s property when using chemical and cleaning material.
- Assists the Inventory Manager with assigned duties required by the day-to-day operations of the Inventory Organization.
- Responsible for monitoring proper temperatures of all Food storerooms.
- Participates in the loading and storing process of all food inventoried items.
- Mediate any confrontations between staff and clients, and de-escalate the situation.
