objective is to fulfill customers ’petroleum and diesel fuel needs in the most trustable, efficient

and profitable method. United Petroleum company is fully owned by AFG Group, a diversified global company that operates in various sectors including: General Trading, Building Material Trade, Gas energy and real estate.

Currently, United Petroleum is looking to recruit:

Job Title:   Manager of United Petroleum Company

Location: Bosaso, Puntland

Report to: chairman

Position Summary

Manage and lead all company operations and activates, He/She is responsible for overseeing and directing the company goals/objectives/budgets and safely executes the oil and gas field operations to ensure that the production of the products increases for the company’s growth. Additionally, he is responsible for achieving the production targets in a safe manner at the estimated expenditure.

Manager Duties and Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily business operations
• Ensuring achievement of the sales targets
• Increasing the production capacity by improving the performance
• Developing and monitoring the operational expenses
• Evaluating performance and productivity
• Developing new strategies to increase production with safe and cost-efficient methods
• Ensuring that adequate safety norms are used by site personnel
• Operating the fuel fields in a profitable and optimal manner
• Researching and identifying growth opportunities.
• Responsibility for day-to-day planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company.
• Measure and manage team performance in accordance with all applicable HR policies and procedures.
• Other duties or company as assigned

Key performance indicators

1. Sales, company Net Profit; Product volume target
2. Consumer: of new customers;
3. Corporate, Number of relationships
4. Risk Measures, which are focused on the risk factors that can threaten our success
5. Operational Measures, focused on operations and tactics, and designed to inform better decisions around day-to-day product / service delivery or other operational function

Required Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to make clear, concise presentations in English and Somali.
• Planning and organizing skills
• Relationship building skills
• Negotiation skills
• Marketing and selling skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook e-mail.
• Excellent Budgeting and planning skills
• Skill in analyzing and evaluating financial information
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
• Excellent managerial, leadership, problem solving and negotiation skills;
• Good interpersonal and strong business development skills.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Master’s degree in related business discipline preferably MBA.
• 3-5 years of experience in business operations leadership roles.
