Regional Manager-Puntland

IBS Bank is looking to fill the position of a Regional Manager -Puntland

The role reports to the General Manager, Business.

Position: Regional Manager-Puntland

Job type: Full time

Location: Garowe

Duties and responsibilities

Business Acquisition:

Implement the Bank’s business development strategy at Regional level including growth in customer base with concurrent growth in regional branch liabilities and assets.

Formulate and implement regional branch business plans, forecasts and budgets and ensure their control and periodic reviews

Support marketing initiatives and monitor and provide regular feedback on products performance.

Collaborate with marketing team for the planning of large events Maximize company profits at the branches you supervise

Operations:

Oversee the operations of multiple office or business branches

Guide, train and manage lower-level management and supervisors

Prepare performance reports for presentation to upper administration Organize and implement training programs for staff in the entire region

Ensure that all branches follow safety, health and business laws and regulations

Uphold company standards of excellence and service, guaranteeing quality performance

Oversee customer service delivery, maintenance and improvement of service standards in order to ensure customer satisfaction and retention within the region.

Implement and monitor the operational risk management guidelines for the branches through the branch managers.

Manage operational and business risks and costs to maximize profitability

Ensure the look, feel and physical security of the branch premises, staff and customers is maintained.

People Management

Provide leadership, direction and pace to the branch team Build, develop and motivate a high performing team.

Identify training gaps and recommend on required training interventions

Process Management

Ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements.

Work closely with risk and compliance units to ensure effective controls to mitigate against operational and business risks.

Ensure implementation and compliance with operational policies and procedures.

Knowledge; Skills and Experience required for this Role

Be a holder of Bachelors degree in Business related field

Professional banking qualifications such as ACCIB will be added advantage

Knowledge of operational policies, procedures, risk management and legalities relevant to branch operations

At least 5 years’ managerial experience

Strong selling, communication and presentation skills

Ability to lead teams and deliver business results

Competencies required for this Role

Strong math skills to crunch numbers and keep track of your region’s profit Ability to motivate others on a team and help them succeed

Multitasking skills and the ability to tend to multiple problems at a time At least three years experience delegating tasks to a team

Problem-solving skills, especially in situations of high stress

Strong knowledge of company policy, goals and standards

Organizational skills to manage large amounts of information

Ability to generate a variety of reports and presentations displaying regional performance

Strong customer service skills in the areas of handling disputes and treating customers with care
