·         Responsible for cabling and termination of fiber Optics, Cat3, Cat5, Cat6, CATV and various other wiring disciplines including  testing and troubleshooting of wiring problems.

·         Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to, documenting test results and as builts, completing safety reports, keeping safety meeting minutes, maintaining log books, providing labor summary reports, etc.

·         Properly instructs, provide training to other technicians on fiber networks & splicing techniques, work, etc. as needed.

·         Anticipate and advice on fiber product issues risks and assists in product selection and testing.

·         Provide management with detailed reports of field splicing activity

·         The head of the fiber team coordinates the daily activities of the Fibre networks & Fibre team to quickly attend urgent maintenance, faults and new cable installations.

·         Produces monthly Optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) testing for the installed fiber cable and coordinating with higher managements.

·         Interface with engineering, project managers and provide all relevant as built documentation in accordance to Bluecom Standards in a timely and professional manner.

·         Working closely with civil work departments, assisting fibre cable installers to understand the importance of the fibre networks and procedures.

·         Responsible for outside plant fiber optic splicing, testing and troubleshooting.

·         Optical fiber splicing, including equipment set-up, maintenance, proof-testing of fiber splices; development of splicing guidelines and documentation of splicing and testing results.

·         Develop standards and specifications for splice drawings and prepare drawing per the specifications.

·         Serve as a resource to the internal staff on matters concerning splicing practices and procedures.

·         Develop splicing diagrams and designs to facilitate network architecture.

·         Maintain fiber asset inventory and splicing as build records.

·         Develop spicing plan including required materials, deliver schedules, completion schedules, manpower requirements and tool/equipment lists.

·         Improving fiber team and facilitating the communication among the members of the team

·         Perform maintenance on existing cables, including evaluation tests and repairing broken cables.

·         Responsible for running new cabling in new or existing buildings.

·         Monitoring, organizing and coaching fibre team on a day-to-day basis

·         Coordinate all daily expenses needs & keep record of fleet and vehicle movements on daily basis.

·         Handling escalated works, complaints, questions and queries as necessary
