Accounting Manager – Hargeisa, Somaliland

Rose Restaurant is a newly stylish Restaurant in Hargeisa that serve international and local food with a romantic indoor/outdoor decor designs. We are passionate in serving quality service with paramount experiences.

This role is primarily responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting process for Rose restaurant . The Accounting manager will maintain accounting principles, best practices, and systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting to the General Manager, the Accounting Manager role will perform a multitude of accounting activities including, but not limited to, end of period financial statement preparation and analysis, period-end close as well as year-end tax and audit schedule preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Collecting data, preparing balance sheet, and profit and loss statement
Maintaining accounting control by preparing policies and procedures
Maintain and oversee all store level/operational accounting procedures and processes and make recommendations for continuous improvement
Oversee and maintain general ledger accounting functions
Responsible for the preparation and/or review of various monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations
Manage all internal and external audits
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting department
Working knowledge of restaurant operations preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Somali is a must
CPA strongly preferred
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to understand financial and income statement results as means to project and forecast trends
Proficient in Quick book, Microsoft Office is a must
