| CHILD SAFEGUARDING:Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; ore because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

| ROLE PURPOSE:The Supply Chain Assistant is responsible for supporting the management of procurement, vehicle fleet, assets, warehousing and transport as well as communications to ensure effective, transparent and accountable Supply Chain network of SCI Abudwak office. | |
| SCOPE OF ROLE:Reports to: Supply chain officer/coordinator
Dimensions: Save the Children works in all three zones in Somalia/Somaliland (Somaliland, Southern States, and Puntland) with a current staff complement of approximately 650 and an annual budget of over 100 Million USD. Staff directly reporting to this post: None. |

Warehouse and Stocks Management: In the absence of the Transport and Warehousing Officer, the supply chain assistant covers the following:
Assets and Inventory Management:
Fleet Management: The postholder will:
Transportation & Freight: The postholder will: · Arrange for transportation of goods and equipment’s between offices or to field sites and ensure that the goods are securely packaged and loaded to prevent damage during transportation. · Compile accurate documentation relating to the movement of items between locations, whether as a transfer or for distribution.
General · Report, as required, on project work and any management issues arising in each assignment (to the area management teams) · Comply with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, procurement and logistics, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures. · Ensure that all work is carried out in a way that is sensitive to community needs and gender and children issues. In particular, to promote the full and equal participation of women and children in all aspects of the work. · Within reason, implement additional actions and responsibilities, as requested by your line manager. |

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE· Minimum Diploma in Procurement or business administration or accounting or other relevant Subject.
· Good written and spoken English and Somali languages |
