Medical Doctor – Afmadow, Somalia
Job Description
The incumbent will be responsible for the day to day implementation of Nehrro activities in the field in accordance with the implementation framework and donor guidelines.
SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Medical doctor will undertake a number of duties and responsibilities, including:
- Will be primarily responsible for proper medical intervention
- Supervision and the clinical management of a patient care in the MCH.
- He/She should be able to diagnose majority of the most common diseases.
- Performing ward round on a daily basis with nurses on duty and prescription of treatment according to the MCH guidelines and protocols.
- Responsibility of admission and discharge of patients, prescription of medications and other routine procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Medicine
- Post-graduate qualification is preferable
- Must be a local and a resident from the Lower Juba region
- Possessing strong degree of moral standards; honesty, integrity, respect and a solid sense of ethics including the ability to handle confidential information.
- At lest 3 years of experience in MCH with proof documents.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a team and within the community.
