Admin and Finance officer – Mogadishu, Somalia
Position Title: Admin and Finance officer

Reporting to: Operations Manager
Duration: One year
Duty Station: Mogadishu
Duties and Responsibilities includes but not limited to these:
- Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting relevant financial data.
- Evaluating and optimizing financial controls and procedures.
- Updating daily transaction records and assisting with payroll administration.
- Managing accounts receivable and payable, as well as expenses.
- Keeping records of invoices and tax payments, as well as reviewing and processing reimbursements.
- Preparing income statements, balance sheets, and budgets.
- Identifying financial liabilities and performing risk analysis on liquidity and cash flow.
- Resolving account discrepancies and performing account reconciliations.
- Preparing financial reports, including projected returns on investment and growth rates.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in financial administration.
- Take clear messages and communicate effectively with customers, clients, team members, and management.
- Coordinating schedules, arranging meetings, distributing memos and reports and ensuring that everyone is kept current of necessary company news and information.
- Manage day to day administrative functions of the office.
- Ensure all staff in the office sign daily attendance sheets
- Manage the purchase, distribution and repair of all office equipment.
- Ensure all procurement process and procedures are fully adhered.
- Organize and arrange local and international travels include flight bookings, hotel reservations and airport pickups.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional practice in finance, accounting, business administration or economics.
- Minimum 3 year’s relevant experience as a admin and finance assistant/officer or similar role in financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and finance analysis. Payroll processing, cash management, bank reconciliation, project accounting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and database packages
- Strong communication and sharp time management skills
