HPA Somaliland seeks to recruit a competent and dynamic professional for the position of Project Manager in Somaliland Terminating Oppression of women and girls Programme (STOP) project supported by the European Commission. The position is based in HPA Hargeisa office and requires frequent travel to project sites within the country. The post holder will report to the Country Director and will be responsible for the overall project management.

SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Implementation of Strategies for preventing & responding to SGBV and FGM

• Review project workplan and budget to ensure successful implementation of activities.
• Developing and maintaining positive and professional working relationship with partners including regular supports to partners’ activities agreed in the project.
• Review project implementation and resource allocation plans on monthly basis and ensure partners submit their activity plans and reports every month.
• Establish and maintain collaboration with United Nations, Government Ministries and other NGOs to support national efforts in prevention of SGBV and FGM.
• Develop a project scale up / expansion plan in consultation with Country Director and Senior Management.

Project Monitoring & Evaluation

• Conduct regular joint-monitoring visits to project locations and submit monitoring reports for wider consultation with project partners for review and actions.
• Develop project evaluation plan and lead the process.
• Develop and implement clear handover/exit strategy to relevant ministries and NGO partners.

Report writing & documentation·         Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and end of project progress reports showing achievements against planned targets, justification for performance variances and areas of improvement

• Keeping inventory of all items, financial transactions and other documents for project audit
