Job Overview

Waayeel Consulting is currently seeking talented and experienced Restaurant 2 Cooks to join our client JEES Hotel’s team immediately. As a Restaurant Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food items for our guests based on their orders, as well as organizing, cleaning, and setting up your workstation.

To excel in this role, you should possess excellent knowledge of cooking procedures and food handling techniques. Knowledge of various cuisines will be an added advantage. Additionally, you should be willing to work in a hot and high-temperature environment.

To succeed in this position, you should have good organizational skills and the ability to think creatively. You should also possess outstanding communication skills and the ability to work for extended periods.

Responsibilities

1. Taking orders from the Waiter/Waitress or the computerized system.
2. Organizing the workstation with all the necessary ingredients.
3. Setting up and organizing the food station.
4. Handling multiple food orders at the same time.
5. Ensuring the freshness of the vegetables and meats.
6. Training the junior staff, if necessary.
7. Maintaining the quality and standard of the food.
8. Ensuring the food dishes look presentable and attractive.
9. Storing the food ingredients in a proper hygienic way.
10. Recommending special dishes on the food menu.
11. Following all the food sanitation and hygiene procedures.
12. Maintaining the kitchen stock levels and restocking, if needed.
13. Overseeing Cooks, Kitchen Assistants, and other kitchen team members.
