What will you do?

Under the direct supervision of the Programme Officer and the overall supervision of the Head of

Garowe Office, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

• Support to implementation and management of Climate-Smart Food Systems projects and related activities, ensuring a coordinated approach with wider programmes that complies with WFP standards and procedures.
• Provide specialized project management support to ensure that the various activities are performed within the established targets following WFP’s policies and procedures
• Act as a focal point for intervention proposals from cooperating partners (CPs).
• Prepare a range of reports and highlight trends ensuring deliverables adhere to corporate standards and quality control.
• Ensure timely recording of data within the specific technical area of work and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
• Coordinate beneficiary data management platform (SCOPE) to facilitate assistance to beneficiaries.
• Liaise with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation, and monitoring of ongoing programme activities
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to perform accurate food security analyses and to ensure efficient delivery of food assistance related activities.
• Coordinate and liaise with stakeholders on identification of innovative programmes and delivery strategies including developing action plans with partners and communities.
• Support and facilitate, and coordinate capacity building initiatives for staff and government entities to strengthen skills and competencies to deliver quality Climate-Smart Food Systems project activities and desired results.
• Act as a point of contact for resolution of a range of operational queries and problems.
• Identify and strengthen Food Systems programmatic partnerships with relevant Puntland Ministries and stakeholders to improve effective delivery of WFP projects.
