The Federal Government of Somalia has receivedfinancing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the Drylands Development Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the supply and delivery of farm tractors.The Ministry of Finance now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following goods:

Bidders are invited to submit their bids for any combination of lots. Each lot will be evaluated separately and contract awarded separately as well.

The delivery period is 45 days.

Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the IsDB’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic Development Bank Financing (May 2009 and amended on February 2012), and is open to all eligible bidders  as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from the Drylands Development Project PMU Office at the address below;during office hours 9.00 am – 4.00 pm Saturday to Thursday. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be downloaded from the Ministry of Finance Website(https://mof.gov.so/) – interested bidders can also request the complete set of bidding documents,through a written application, to the email address below.Complete bid documents will be sent by email.

All bids must be delivered to the address below by 11 AM on 02/04/2020. Please note that electronic submission of bids will not be accepted. In addition to the original copy of the bid, two copies of the same bid must also be delivered. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below. Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened.
