Location: Galmudug, Puntland, Mogadishu.

PSI and its local affiliates manage community health programs across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. PSI also supports national Ministries of Health to scale up community health worker programs.
PSI seeks an experienced, dynamic and innovation-driven Pharmaceutical Management Specialist to support an anticipated one-year Somali Federal Government through the World Bank funded Female Health Worker program in Somalia with an anticipated award date of April 2020.
This position will report to Health Services & Quality Improvement Advisor
Minimum qualification and professional experiences required:
- A university degree in Pharmacy
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing pharmaceutical management capacity at the decentralized level in developing countries
- Demonstrated experience adapting tools, guidelines, and systems to improve pharmaceutical (including cold chain) movement, stock management, and reporting
- Demonstrated experience successfully implementing a variety of individual and organizational capacity development approaches for pharmaceutical management to develop long-term capacity improvements
- Experience developing and adapting electronic pharmaceutical management tools and databases
- Demonstrated experience supporting improvements in pharmaceutical movement, stock management, and reporting
- Experience working in pharmaceutical management of public sector is preferred
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Excellent teamwork and facilitation skills
- Willingness to be based within a remote county
