We are hiring a number of bank branch managers. Interested candidates are requested to submit their CVs immediately.

Branch Manager Job Purpose:

  • To achieve branch targets on all parameters
  • To provide first class customer service and management of the branch in all areas of the company’s business in order to enhance profitable operations of the Branch.
  • To ensure adherence and compliance with branch internal controls, policies and procedures in branch operations

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Service

  • Coordinates and ensures profitable development and management of the branch banking business within the framework of the bank’s policy.
  • Implementation of proactive market plans that will help the bank meets its customers’ needs.
  • Responsible for Cross Selling Bank products
  • Responsible for both assets and liability growth within the through retention of existing customers and generation of leads for relationship banking of high value clients.
  • Primary responsibility for management of effective customer relationship and effective service delivery along with customer ownership with a view to developing new and managing existing business of the branch.

Operations

  • Manage the operations and support activities at the branch; including guiding, supporting, motivating and supervising the staff to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in all areas of branch operations.
  • Ensure timely submission of required management reports to Head Office.
  • To process credit applications in coordination with Relationship Managers
  • To monitor and track customer complaints, analyzing route cause of complaints and handling customer complaints by taking remedial actions.
  • Ensure proper Cash Management and Custody as per laid down procedures.
  • Ensure that checks and controls are done on a regular basis to minimize operational lapses likely to compromise bank’s business.
  • To comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including Audit Compliance.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • University graduate preferablyin Banking/Business/Management.
  • Professional qualification e.g. Institute of Bankers diploma would be added value.
  • 4 years of minimum branch banking experience two years of which at supervisory level.
  • Effective communication skills and fluency in the English language in addition to the Somali language.
  • Existing relationship with the bank’s potential customers is considered as an advantage.
