Summary of the Position:
We are looking for an experienced Country Manager to organize and lead Waayeel projects & operations in Somaliland. The Country Manager plays a key role in strategic leadership, projects management & operations management for the overall success of Waayeel Consulting, Somaliland.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall projects of the institution in Somaliland for the effective mobilization and management of Human resources, Finances, Marketing & Promotions, Customer Support and ensure that all projects are organized in a correct, timely and cost effective way in alignment with the overall strategies of the firm.
- Enhance and improve the operational procedures, systems and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes and best practices to ensure organizational success.
- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions with the clients.
- Communicate customer issues with consultants of the firm and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints on time.
- Work closely with the Managing Director for the implementation of policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation in achieving organizational strategic and operational objectives.
- Undertake sound financial management to ensure that strategic and operational targets are met.
- Implement organizational strategic plan by providing creative and practical solutions in reaching the desired state mentioned in the strategic plan of the firm.
- Evaluate performance of the team using key metrics and address issues to improve it
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Leadership Positions
- Experience of building, leading and developing a team of senior staff with different backgrounds and expertise
- Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, problem solving, financial management, performance management and team building.
- Must be flexible, willing to perform other duties and work irregular hours.
- Experience in a consulting firm is an added advantage.
- Advanced leadership and project management skills.
- Experience in dealing with Private, Public & Humanitarian Institutions.
- Advanced planning, assessment and analytical skills.
- Team-player with good inter-personal and networking skills
