Summary:

Golis Telecom is looking for an experienced IT Database Administrator to install, troubleshoot, and maintain Databases, Servers and Network equipment across multiple regions, These successful candidates will be implementing new Database designs, New Database Servers  and  troubleshooting  their  daily  issues  for  our  large  customer base, This Engineers will be working in a great team environment, have lots of opportunities for training, but will be expected to learn and implement on his own as well.

We want someone who’s experienced in a fast paced, medium sized background, has experience in Database Management Systems Specially Oracle Database.

We are looking for a Team Player, someone with the desire to do a great job, and be part of a rapidly growing company with a proven success record. We are looking for a problem solver who can think outside the box and can also follow general guidelines.

Skill Requirements:

Database

•         Creates and maintains all databases ORACLE & MYSQL.
•         Configures and maintains database protection with data guard.
•         Configures and maintains OLAP database with golden gate.
•         Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases.
•         Performs ongoing tuning of the database with all tools specially oracle cloud control.
•         Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database.
•         Administration, maintenance, upgrade & tuning of servers with Linux & windows operating systems in virtualized & pare metal environments.
•         Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases.
•         Puts standards in place to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance.
•         The DBA will perform reviews on the design and code frequently to ensure the site standards are being adhered to.
•         Evaluates releases of Oracle and its tools, and third party products to ensure that the site is running the products that are most appropriate.
•         Enforces and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of the database.
•         Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.
•         Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools.
•         Manage sharing of resources amongst applications.
•         Pro-active monitoring of databases performance and applying appropriate measures to guarantee high service availability.
•         Root cause analysis of all problems and proposing long term solutions.
•         Automating all the routines of the system to maintain high available services.
•         24/7 monitoring of the services.
•         Introduction to the command line
•         Managing physical storage
•         Install and configure software components and services
•         Establish network connections and control firewall restrictions
•         Monitor and manage running processes
•         Manage and secure files and file systems
•         Administer users and groups
•         Review the system log files and journal for issues
•         Troubleshoot problems and analyze systems with Red Hat Insights
•         Remotely manage systems with SSH and the Web Console
•         Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux using scalable methods
•         Access security files, file systems, and networks
•         Execute shell scripting and automation techniques
•         Manage storage devices, logical volumes, and file systems
•         Manage security and system access
•         Control the boot process and system services

 Knowledge domains

•         Linux (RHCA or RHCE).

 Requirement & skills

•   Secondary school.
•   Bachelor degree in Computer science, information technology and related technical degrees.
•   Preferred Certifications: OCA/OCP, RHCSA, RHCE & so on.
•   Excellent problem-solving skills, able to effectively troubleshoot issues remotely
•   Exceptional communication skills, written and oral (Somali & English)
•   Highly organized Person.
•   Ability to prioritize and multi-task
