The Opportunity

The position holder is responsible for the implementation of Mobile health and Nutrition activities in Mubarak. He/she The position holder shall be in charge of technical quality implementation and delivery of the mobile health and Nutrition services in the assigned woreda. S/He will mainly be responsible for the daily implementation of the screening, OTP, consultation, outreach EPI, health education, sanitation, safe motherhood and child health as per the guideline of Somali RHB mobile health and Nutrition teams. In addition, the position holder is also expected to provide supervision, technical assistance and capacity building to health extension workers and Health workers in health facilities. She/he will be responsible for the daily implementation of mobile health and Nutrition services package as per the standard, supporting health facilities assigned as integrated mobile health & Nutrition modality and daily dispensary and drug supply management. He will also be responsible for day to day documentation of screened children and mothers, children admitted to OTP, children and adults treated, people provided for health education, vaccinated children and all provided services accordingly and compile weekly and monthly reports and share with mobile health and nutrition officers and woreda health offices. He/She will spend 100% of their time on the award.

Job specific roles and responsibilities

  • Facilitates the trainings under this project
  • Make sure you regularly do ANC Delivery and new borne care, postnatal care, provision of water treatment and hygiene promotion
  • Makes sure that all the mother receives health Education on FP, safe Delivery, immunization
  • Giving care to the new born babies
  • Giving medication and other essential nutrition to the children which are in the program
  • Reports any problems in a timely manner to the Health Officer
  • Coaches and supervises every delivery, immunization, health education
  • Upholds the image and values of SC at all times,
  • Performs other related tasks as required and tasks assigned by the organization.
  • Perform any other activities based on Line manager’s assignment
  • The staff should do all the responsibilities assign by the organization

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing and midwifery.
  • EXPEREINCE
  • Minimum four years working experience for BSC and six years’ experience for Diploma holders out of which two-year experience directly related to emergency health & nutrition particularly Midwifery

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • Knowledge, training and experience in Mobile Health and Nutrition and community mobilization/BCC
  • Demonstrated skills in program planning, implementation and monitoring.
  • Demonstrated skills in peer group training, Training of Trainers and development of training materials.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Amharic, English and Local language.
  • Strong computer (Microsoft skills), all and interpersonal skills.
