Background

Blue Sky Energy Company is the one of the largest electric utility Company in Mogadishu, Somalia, responsible for the power generation, transmission and distribution facilities spanning from the capital city Mogadishu and surrounding regions.
Blue Sky Energy Company is seeking for a highly skilled and experienced electrical engineer to join our growing company as an electrical engineer which will be responsible for the supervision of the overall electrical systems and related components.

Electrical Engineer General Responsibilities

• Designing Electrical systems, Distribution lines, and Providing comprehensive design services by supporting the establishment of design criteria and the preparation of specifications ,design computations and drawings in accordance with basic project requirement
• Estimation plant electrical load ,installation and commissioning, all electrical equipments at the site compliance with operational safety standards
• Develop and participate in views, in conjunction with other disciplines of electrical drawings
• Ensure consistency and integrity of all major equipment in accordance with all codes and specifications
• Monitoring other plant activities like lighting systems, earthing system, power distribution Network
• Act as a technical resource person for other staff and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Preparing RFQ’S and forwarding it to the relevant suppliers/agents to obtain quotation
• Maintaining records/database various categories of approved supplies
• Preparation of comparative statement of quotes

• Graduated from an accredited university with a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
• work experience in energy of or electrical sector
• Written fluency and excellent verbal communication in Somali and English
• Well-organized and able to perform effectively with in tight deadlines;
• Sharp time management skills
• Hard-Working, Self-Motivated and possess a positive attitude.
