TERMS OF REFERENCE

 

Type of service:        Translation (English to Somali).

 

Type of contract:      Service provider Company/Consultant.

 

Total number of pages to be translated:   34 pages (11,246 words) of both documents.

BACKGROUND

The Central Bank of Somalia has developed and approved recently Human Resource Policy and wishes communicate this policy to Bank staff Thus far we seek the service of experienced and qualified translator company/consultant to translate the documentfrom English to Somali to facilitate communication and comprehension to the CBS Staff and bear best practice and transparency in the Public Sector.

OBJECTIVE

The objective is to provide translation service to the Central Bank of Somalia for:

• CBS Employee Handbook 23pages (7,142 words)
• Code of Conduct of CBS staff 11 pages (4,104 words)

SCOPE OF WORK:

The service provider will undertake the following responsibilities:

–        Translate the entire 2 documents and submit them in Word format including: –

• Make a comprehensive Presentation to the Management before undertaking the work.
• Proofreading and editing of the documents,
• Incorporating suggested changes to the translation after submission of the draft,

The service provider should ensure high quality and accuracy (in term and meaning) of the translated documents before submission and complete the work within the agreed timeline.

APPLICATION Guideline:

• Submit a letter of interest indicating the time it will take to complete the translation.
• Submit a financial proposal showing the breakdown of costs
• Provide proof of previous Legal translation work by submitting the original text and translated work from English into Somali or vice versa.
• Provide 3 references from previous clients.
• Full Resumes of Consultant (s)/Company Profile

 

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS:

Interested service providers are requested to submit their technical (letter of interest, previous work and references) and financial proposals to the Central Bank of Somalia through the e-mail cbs.tender@centralbank.gov.so. By15th November 2020 at 2:00 pm (Mogadishu Time) – marked clearly as “Application for Translation (English to Somali) service”. Only e-mail applications will be accepted.
