At Sahanbooks, our mission is to bring the benefits and pleasures of reading to everyone in Africa.

Sahanbooks recently opened a flagship bookshop in Hargeisa, Somaliland and aims to expand its retail presence across the country. Work is in progress to sell digital and print books at affordable prices through our online bookshop. We are also setting up SahanPublishing, the new publishing arm of Sahanbooks, which will publish and distribute digital and print books in local languages.

The Role

We are looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to provide excellent customer service and achieve sales targets for our bookshop.

You will welcome customers, respond to their questions, provide recommendations based on their interests, assist the Cashier at the till and generally drive sales. You will also assist the Store Manager with managing stock in the shop and warehouse, ensuring that shelves are organised and displays are well-arranged,

The role would suit a person who loves books, enjoys selling, is able to provide excellent customer service, thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a Bachelor’s degree.
