Area Nutrition Program Manager (1 Position) Open to Somali Nationals Only

ROLE DIMENSION
Save the Children operates across all zones in Somalia and currently has three main area offices and additional 11 field offices. Programmatically Somalia is a large Country Office with more than $100million annual budget turnover, more than 70 active awards at any time and over 650 staff.
ROLE PURPOSE
The primary purpose of the Nutrition Programme Manager post is to ensure the effective development and management of the Nutrition project. The post-holder will hold primary budget holding responsibilities for this project. He/she will contribute to programme strategy. ensure close co-ordination and integration with other projects and foster good working relationships between all sections of the team and with communities, partners, local leaders and counterparts. S/he will work closely with the Deputy area representatives, Nutrition Specialist, Area Representative and Finance and Logistic staff
SCOPE OF ROLE
Reports to: Deputy Area representative Southwest & Jubaland
Staff reporting to this post: Area Nutrition coordinator, Deputy Nutrition PM.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- University Degree in Nursing, Medicine from acerated University. master of public health, Nutrition, Medicine will be added advantage
- Minimum five years’ experience of managing emergency projects in Nutrition
Essential
- Experience in building the capacity of local NGOs and local authorities and NGO/CBOs.
- Proven financial management skills and experience of budget holding responsibilities
- Experience in project cycle management, report writing, budgeting and grants management.
- Experience of working through systems of community participation eHWun29 Dgn9kN
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- Computer literate and proficient in MS-word and MS-excel.
- Commitment to SC’s Child Protection Policy
