Position – Cleaner

ROLE PURPOSE:

The cleaner is accountable for keeping the sanitation, the cleanliness, hygiene of the store and compound equipment to the best satisfaction of the organization as well as keeps & cleanliness of the sore equipment as per the standard SCI systems, polices, and procedures

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. As per the agreed flexible working schedule, daily clean and keep the sanitation, the cleanliness and hygiene of the store to the best satisfaction of the organization
2. Ensure the safety of all working equipment’s issued to him/her for sanitation and safety of the organization.
3. Check all property within the compound and ensures that everything is in good shape
4. Washes and irons store curtains and similar utilities
5. Check all doors and windows, light and water, stoves and other equipment’s within the store & compound to ensure that they are closed/and locked after being cleaned
6. Reports to the admin or line manager, cases of theft, defect of lights and doors and windows in the compound, leakage of water pipes and damage of fences.
7. Ensure the effective and efficient use of all SCI resources in order to keep costs low and ensure the security of equipment’s.

Comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to child protection, health and safety, security, equal opportunities and other relevant policies.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

MINIMUM QUALFICATION, EXPEREINCE, COMPETENCIES

QUALIFICATION

EXPEREINCE

• At least grade 6^th and Above
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Good interpersonal skills,
• Good spoken in Somali
• English language is an advantage
• Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY

• Experience as a cleaner and equipment management
• Knowledge of the area and region where the post is located

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY

• Position holder must have good interpersonal skills & excellent team player
• Knowledge of the local language (Somali language)
