 COMMERCIAL MANAGER- BLUECOM SOMALILAND

Company Summary:

Bluecom Subsidiary Company that is Internet Service Provider arm of Somtel company of one of the companies under Dahabshiil Group, Dahabshiil Group, the fastest growing business group with interests in financial services, banking, telecommunications, real estate, and energy & power sectors among others. plans to recruit Commercial Manager- Bluecom Somaliland, who will oversee Bluecom business and commercial activities in Somaliland.

General Position Summary:

Develop effective commercial strategies and ensure they are translated into clear programs executed at HQ and Regional level, with significant financial impact. Support GM on company related activities and decisions collaborating across internal functions / depts.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop the Commercial Strategy for the Company aligned with the Company Strategy and cascade to achieve revenue targets.
• Set and review operating company’s commercial performance targets and budget in conjunction with GM and CFO and in line with agreed strategy.
• Direct and manage Consumer and  Enterprise / Wholesale sectors
• Develop and execute Consumer and  Enterprise / Wholesale marketing strategies and programs that maximize the lifetime value of customer base
• Develop and implement sales and distribution channels strategic plan
• Set and facilitate achievement of direct and indirect sales targets and profit forecasts per channel
• Develop sales support and response for new / existing products and services
• Develop and seeks approval for the annual Sales budget, Monitor expenditure against approved levels and provide justification for significant variations.
• Develop a highly professional and results-oriented sales force capable of achieving, or exceeding, demanding sales targets. Monitors performance against these targets to assess need for remedial intervention
• Build strong relationship with key commercial partners such as leading device vendors or major distributors
• Scope customized solutions and support new products /services introduction
• Manage billing and collections operations, including monitoring evolution of tariffs, settlements rates and transit charges and assessing impact and negotiating and resolving disputed traffic and billing complaints
• Create an effective Commercial function managing commercial performance and support to the Regions, with clear KPIs.
• Any other duties as requested by the GB

Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree /MBA from a reputable University
• Minimum of 7 years total work experience, of which at least 2-3 years in commercial leadership roles for telecommunications company.
• Proficient and fluent in spoken and written English Language
• Spoken and written knowledge of Somali Language is essential
• Strong operational and strategic commercial management
• Important to have broad and in-depth knowledge across the range of marketing, distribution and service/customer experience areas
• Strong strategic orientation and business development knowledge
• Deep knowledge of mobile telecommunications, both local and international
• Experience of leading of successfully transformational projects in the commercial area, with significant impact on the financial results

Environmental Conditions

This position is based in Hargeisa, Somaliland and is unaccompanied. Travel within Somaliland is required to support all Somaliland’s offices. This position is eligible for very completive salary package and other benefits as per our Human Resource policy.
