• Title: Community Nutrition Staff (10 Position)
• Reporting: Supervisor
• Duration: 12 Months

Job Purpose/Objective

• Community Nutrition Staff is responsible for carrying out community mobilization and awareness for building activities He/She are expected to provide high standard of promoting optimum nutrition for the preventing malnutrition and Working under the guidance and supervision of the Nutrition Officer will be directly responsible for the day to day implementation of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure community mapping mobilization through facilitating participants of all level of people
• Arrange community meeting with elder’s community leaders and local stockholders.
• Provide support to midwife to establish functions at community health workers.
• Maintain coloration with health and nutrition program Area.
• Assist to strengthen referral system on material health care and nutrition.
• Participate in meeting as request senior nutrition teams.
• Establish mother’s groups and facilitate regular meeting with mother groups.
• Arrange cooking demonstration of nutrition food for children.
• Conduct screening identify SAM for children.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

• Certificate / Diploma in Health Sector
• Two year Experience in nutrition program and community work.
• Experience in training of volunteers on SAM program.
• Good relations with other people.
• Good capacity to work in a team and flexibility.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good writing and presentation skills
• English fluency (verbal and written) required and local language (preferred)
