POSITION SUMMARY

Amtel is one of the major and the fastest growing telecommunication companies in Somalia. The main objective of this position of Compliance Manager is to ensure that Amtel Telecom functions in a legal and ethical manner while meeting its business goals. Also the Compliance Manager is responsible for developing compliance programs, reviewing company policies, and advising management on possible risks., identify and advise any potential risks affecting companies’ reputation, security, safety, financial sustainability, and presence mean while Compliance Manager is expected to provide a better valuation for the risk management policies along with the protocols to come up with policies and provide suggestions to avoid threats, reduce or transfer risk or Mitigate the effects of those which can’t be avoided.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Implement and manage an effective legal compliance procedure.
• Provides administrative support by implementing systems, procedures, and policies; completing projects in support of compliance auditors.
• Advise management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports.
• Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
• Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.
• Assess company operations to determine compliance risk.
• Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes.
• Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance.
• Design and monitor the control systems to prevent rules or internal policies violations.
• Regularly review the efficiency of the control system and improve them continuously.
• Review company’s procedure and identify hidden risk or compliance issues.
• Assess the business’s future ventures and plan to identify and eliminate compliance risks.
• Provides audit information to management by researching and analyzing data; preparing reports.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
• Prepares compliance audit data by compiling and analyzing internal and external information.
• Enforces adherence to requirements and advises management on needed actions
• Preparing reports for senior management.
