Job Description:

Telesom Company is looking for an experienced Database Administrators at Hargeisa who shall be responsible for the development and support of databases and their underlying environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Planning and Configuring Database Design Parameters
Database Space Management including Disk space usage, Table spaces, Index, Data files, redo logs, archive logs, etc.
Creating backup and recovery plans and procedures based on industry best practices, to make sure that the necessary steps are followed by having management plans to take necessary precautions.
Daily Database Performance monitoring and checking (Long-running Quires checking, index checking, load monitoring, flash backlogs checking, archive log follow checking).
Define customer’s needs and functionality in a service development cycle.
Install, configure and test operating system, application software and system management tools.
Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability, implement warranty, and support

Qualitification

Bachelor of ICT, Computer Science, Software Engineering.
OCA, OCP, RCHSA are highly preferable
3 years (Oracle, MSSQL, Linux)

Adaptive to changing environment
Analytical Thinking.
Good communication skills
Ability to quickly diagnose issues and suggest solutions.
Excellent knowledge of Oracle database backup, recovery, security, integrity.
Solid skills of Linux operating system Administration and Linux utilities such as shell scripting etc.
Good knowledge of networking and application-level operations.
Experience with virtualization viz. VMware, Virtual Box.
