DEAN OF ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

Frantz Fanon University is inviting applicants for the post of Academic Affairs Dean, the third highest post and authority at Frantz Fanon University.

Job Description

The job of the Academic Affairs Dean will include the following:

Possessing the requisite intellectual experiencer and capacity with demonstrated record of leading and contributing to academic development and management of a university.
Ability to supervise deans, professors, and other staff involved in academic programs; and
Ability to maintain detailed and accurate academic records of undergraduate and graduate students.
Able to represent Frantz Fanon University in public and academic arenas the relevant ministries, meetings of universities, and the private sector.

Skills and Qualifications

Preferably a Masters’ or Doctoral Degree; Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent experience may be considered.
Demonstrating prior experience in the work of Dean of Academic Affairs of a University, or of its equivalent.
Ability to write fluently in English and Somali in reports and proposals written.
Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and take initiative in improving the academic standing and profile of the university’
Possessing ethical standing in all respect, hard work, self-discipline, and honesty.
Ability to work with others with sociability and integrity,
Serve as a task master, justly rewarding merit and changing poor standard in work, skills, or character;
Become a leading model as an implementer and promoter of all university rules, academic regulations, professional ethics.
