DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE SERVICES (RAJEB DAYYIP ERDOGAN – EX-DIGFEER HOSPITAL)

Position Overview

The Deputy Director for accounting and finance services is required to support the Director of Accounting and Finance Services in overseeing the financial operations in the Hospital. The Deputy Director will participate in strategic financial planning, budgeting, auditing, reporting and complying with statutory financial regulations and standard practices.

Reporting

The Deputy Director for accounting and finance services will directly supervise finance and administrative sections and directly report to the Director of Finance

Responsibilities

• Financial management: Participate in the overall management of financial activities, developing budget for the hospital, cash flow management and financial analysis.
• Strategic planning: Participate in developing the financial strategic plan of the hospital, and identify financial goals and the financial strategic objectives of the hospital.
• Budget oversight: Participate in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of the budget and ensure strict adherence to financial targets.
• Financial reporting: Assist in preparing and reviewing financial reports, and statements and present to the management.
• Treasury management: Supervise banking transactions, cash disbursement, collection, and investment and promote good working relationships with banks.
• Financial analysis: Conduct financial analysis in order to aid decision-making and identify risks, opportunities and trends. Provide details on the financial performance of the institution inorder to assist in strategic planning.
• Internal controls: Work with the internal audit, external audit, and compliance teams to establish and maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Technology and automation: Explore opportunities for leveraging technological and financial systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capacities.
• Risk management: Conduct risk analysis, SWOT analysis and PESTEL analysis and identify mitigation measures.
• Team leadership and development: Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff members and promote a safe and healthy working environment.
• Stakeholders’ engagement: Work with staff members and external stakeholders to address financial-related problems and ensure that activities align with the hospital strategic goals and objectives.
• Process improvement: Identify gaps for process optimization and automation within the finance and accounting departments.

Skills and Qualifications

• A master’s degree in accounting, finance, business management or any other relevant field.
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business management or any other relevant field Professional certificates (CPA, CMA)
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting roles with a documented record of leadership and financial acumen.
• Good understanding of financial regulations, standards and best practices
• Preferably has worked in the Hospital and understanding the context surrounding on it.
• Proficiency in English and Turkish Languages
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Prowess in using financial management systems
• Leadership and team management experience
